• MBC Drama The Last Scandal of My Life { 내생애 마지막 스캔들 }
    Hong Sun Hee - Choi Jin Shil
    Song Jae Bin (aka Jang Dong Chul) - Jung Jun Ho
    Jang Dong Hwa - Jung Woong In
    Lee Na Yun - Byun Jung Soo

    I think this drama strike me personally was the idea of a drama of a 39 years old ‘Cinderella’ with a child. Indeed this has given some hope and fantasy for a woman like who is 39 years old too. He! He! Our heroine Hong Sun Hee is just one year from hitting the big Four-O. I am just three months away from that figure myself. Women can be beautiful even they are forty or fifty simply because they are feminine beings.

    We have Hong Sun Hee is the classic k-drama role of an ajumma with a hair style to match putting on a brave face as a mother, wife, dutiful daughter-in-law as she endured the ups and downs in life. All in all, life dealt her her tough hand and she is transformed into a feisty, brash middle aged woman.

    You have this famous celebrity, Song Jae Bin with a lot of endorsement contracts and you cannot be about without seeing his face once whether it be on TV and on a poster. He cannot be anywhere without being mobbed by screaming fans. I gathered the big secret about him is that he is a 39 years old passing on as a 32 year old. I guess the pains that he goes through to maintain his ‘youth’ is taking away his enjoyment of life. He seems that he just want a chance to be himself.

    So what is the connection between a Superstar and our Ajumma? They are schoolmates and I am right to believe that he has a soft spot for her back then as well. He had his people search for her but in the meantime as they had some clashes between them that made them instant arch-enemies. Of course, what a shock it was when the two sworn enemies turned out to be former classmates. Song Jae Bin immediately denied being Jang Dong Chul but Ajumma finally got him to reveal himself. Somehow, he keep thinking that she is out to expose him. Maybe because she know the fact what his real age is.

    Ajumma has one of the usual useless husband, a terrible and loud mother-in-law and a can’t care less sister-in-law. He got himself in trouble with the law and Ajumma worked very hard to try to get the bail money. Anyway, entered as mysterious woman who will bailed Ajumma’s husband if he becomes her companion. Granted I like the way she took charge and their roles become reversed. I am sure with Ajumma, he was like Lord and Master to her.

    So Ajumma is left in a predicament whereby her husband has left her for another woman and she will soon does not have a roof over her head. Her early exploits with Song Jae Bin brought her to join Song Jae Bin’s household as the stay-in Ajumma. It is warming to see that a household of 3 males turning in an orderly household under a woman’s touch. You should looked at the men’s expressions like they never ate a home-cooked meal.

    I could see that Song Jae Bin’s elder brother has taken an interest in Ajumma as well. There is that actress, Lee Na Yun who seems to know about the secrets of the Jang brothers. Does that means that Jang Dong Hwa’s son is really Song Jae Bin’s? That boy is really enthusiatic about Ajumma and he soon develop an infactuation for Ajumma’s daughter.

    Ajumma’s husband and his female companion is now the owners of a wine bar and she had Song Jae Bin to come to her opening. As Song Jae Bin did not want to partner Lee Na Yun, he did a ‘Pretty Woman’ stunt on Ajumma and took her to the party. It was make known in the party that she was the hired hand in the Jang brothers’ household so when a waiter tripped and spilt the contents of his tray, the lady boss asked Ajumma to clean up the mess taking her for a hired help and not a guest in her party. Song Jae Min was extremely mad with Ajumma’s treatment under the lady boss. He dragged Ajumma away in protest and Episode 4 ends with Lady Boss trying to get Ajumma’s husband to help her up in apologising to Song Jae Bin. I think it will result in Ajumma finding who her husband’s lady companion is.
