The scene was repeated where Jang Dong Hwa came down to the gym room to find a sleeping Ajumma on the sofa and hesitatedly stroked her hair.
Song Jae Bin asked Jang Dong Hwa whether Ajumma knew about his feelings for her. Jang Dong Hwa said he will put an effort to make it known to her. Jang Dong Hwa said she had an off-day (leave) and had done lasix eye surgery, so she must be tired and they are not to disturb her any further. Jang Dong Hwa left the room.
Song Jae Bin realised that he had his responsibilities as a public figure and wondered whether he can have best of both worlds. Jang Dong Hwa went back to his study and pondered as well. Meanwhile, Song Jae Bin recalled what his brother had said before, about the consequences if he (Song Jae Bin) was to publicly seen to be helping Ajumma. A task which he as the brother will be more capable than him being a public figure.
Song Jae Bin was upset by these thoughts, ruffled up Ajumma’s hair to wake her up. She woke up and asked why he did that. Song Jae Bin in returned asked her why is she sleeping here. He had asked her to stay up to wait for him. She then replied she did wait, but it was getting so late that is why she dozed off. Song Jae Bin then complained that she never follow his instruction. Ajumma was surprised why the Song Jae Bin was so upset all of the sudden. Song Jae Bin warned her the next time if she wanted to sleep, to do it in her own room and simply not anywhere. If she was to sleep there ever again, she would be fired.
Ajumma suprised that the Song Jae Bin should get all worked up that she was sleeping there. She then came to a conclusion that something must have upset him, and that he is now venting his frustrations at her. She left. Coincidently, the box of cake was left there unnoticed.
She returned back to her quarters, complaint why she was always being bullied, when she spotted the box of shoes that Jang Dong Hwa left for her at the doorsteps. She opened it to find that it was the pair of shoes she had seen and liked and recalled that Jang Dong Hwa was with her when she commented on it.
Song Jae Bin still cannot get over the earlier incident and was very upset. Then a SMS (short message system or text message) came in. It was from Ajumma asking him to help her find out what Jang Dong Hwa was doing now. Song Jae Bin got jealous from reading it and vented his frustration on his mobile then replied the SMS that “Brother was having diarrhoea” Ajumma was shocked to see the reply and commented that Song Jae Bin can be so childish. She was happy with the pair of shoes and tried it on. It was a perfect fit, beautiful and comfortable.
Next morning, Song Jae Bin woke up and walkie-talkied to Ajumma, but there was no response. He saw a glass of juice stuck with a note :”Dong Chul, get up and drink this” Song Jae Bin said to himself that Ajumma must have gone out again. Song Jae Bin went to look for her outside the house and found her
Jang Dong Hwa was about to go to work when he saw Ajumma starting to cultivate in the garden and asked what she was doing. She replied that it was a fine day but then change the subject to thank him for the pair of shoes. Jang Dong Hwa said it was a small matter. She went on to tell him that it was a correct fit and wondered how he knew her size. He answered that it was an estimation guess and was glad that it fitted her. He continued and asked why she was already so busy to start gardening. They could just go out and buy and it will be just fine. She told him that it doesn’t take much effort. The garden was vast. It was already Spring and the weather was pleasant for gardening. It was an incovenient to go to the Supermarket. Jang Dong Hwa mentioned it wouldn’t be a bother, since she was going out often. Jang Dong Hwa was only joking when he said it but Ajumma on hearing it was sorry that she had been doing this too often recently. Today, she will asked for permission to go out, to settle and explained to Ji Min about her parents. Jang dong Hwa suggested she can used his office after the kids got picked up from school. Ajumma was glad and bid him goodbye, thanked him for the shoes and that she was going to wear them well.
Song Jae Bin wasn’t all too pleased at what he saw. Ajumma saw Song Jae Bin and they cheesed each other off. Ajumma continued with her gardening. Song Jae Bin warned her that Jang Dong Hwa was treating her warmly and to be alert. He told that she was not his brother type of woman. Ajumma brushed it off telling Song Jae Bin that he was talking nonsense because he had not fully got up from his sleep. Song Jae Bin then took the cultivator from Ajumma and threw it away to gain her attention. He asked her why she didn’t tell him about the shoes. When, Where and How come she was with his brother. Ajumma told him that she didn’t need to report her whereabouts to him. Ajumma wouldn’t heard another word, left, only to be cut off by Song Jae Bin.
Song Jae Bin: Shall I asked you something? Don’t you like me?
Ajumma: Dong Chul….I
Song Jae Bin stopped her
Song Jae Bin: Fine. That enough
Ajumma: Huh?
Song Jae Bin: I can read it from your eyes. You like me.
Ajumma: What?!!!!
Song Jae Bin: Ah! I am an actor. I can read it in your eyes to know. Come….
Ajumma: Hey! Why do I need to follow you blindly?
Ajumma walked off and Song Jae Bin called her “Hong Sun Ni”. Song Jae Bin’s assistant was shocked to know that Song Jae Bin’s first love Hong Sun Ni whom he know was Song Jae Bin’s classmate, was none other that Ajumma herself. The Assistant knew Ajumma’s age, which mean the discovery of Song Jae Bin’s actual age as well.
At the house, Ajumma told Song Jae Bin that in the end she knew that the secret will be blurted out from his own mouth. The Assistant was already on his knees begging for forgiveness. Superstar said it was all her fault that she made him upset for him to said it. Ajumma persuaded the Assistant to get up as there was no crime to know of someone actual age. The Assistant was also upset at himself that Song Jae Bin was that old. Song Jae Bin asked him to keep his secret and not to utter a single word to anyone and to take heed of his warning or else he will be fired. Ajumma then rebuked that he is always using the “fired” excuse. They started quarreling and the Assistant tried to stop the fighting Song Jae Bin and Ajumma. Assistant asked whether she was the chocolate girl and Ajumma acknowledged. He felt sorry that Song Jae Bin’s first love was the Ajumma now.
Song Jae Bin asked him in order to redeem his sins, he need to do a close survillance on Ajumma’s whereabouts and report back to him. Ajumma was about to leave, when Assistant started to address Ajumma now as Noon-nim and asked where she was going. She told them she was going to see Jang Dong Hwa in the city. Song Jae Bin made a passing comment that the weather was fine and she should wear her new and shiny shoes. Ajumma asked herself why he was being so petty today. Song Jae Bin told her that he will be staying home to read his lines and to come back to make his lunch. Song Jae Bin then send an eye signal to the Assistant to follow her. Superstar told himself that Ajumma was now within his grasp.
Ajumma went to the office and met Ahn Yoon Sik who was on the way out. The wine club and Jang Dong Hwa’s office must be on the same premises. Ahn Yoon Sik wanted to talk to her to ask why she was still the Jangs’ household’s Ajumma. Jang Dong Hwa came and greeted her to follow him. She then followed Jang dong Hwa which aroused Ahn Yoon Sik’s curiosity and seen someone else was following her too (the Assistant). Ahn Yoon Sik followed behind the Assistant.
Jang Dong Hwa took Ajumma to open a bank account. He said he will debit her salary and living expenses to this account. It was inconvenient to give her cash as she will be able to live on her own. If there is a stable income into the account to save it will be a big help. Ajumma thanked him for being so clever to have thought of it.
She asked if he thought she was the type who can’t save money and by receiving cash, she would have flung it off by buying ice-cream and go for hairdo. She assured him that she was not that type of a woman. Jang Dong Hwa told her it has never crossed his mind that she was. Ajumma was jumping to unnnessary conclusion. The bank manager came to give Ajumma the bank account book and Ajumma asked if she can open a fixed deposit for her daughter.
Meanwhile, the Assistant and Ahn Yoon Sik was each doing their own survillance with comical results as in holding the newspaper pretending to read scenario. The Assistant got a call from Superstar for a report
Assistant: I am in the bank…..feels strange…..Noon-nim is not that kind of person…..They seem to be making some monetary transaction. I will observe to let you know further.
Next Ahn Yoon Sik’s phone began to ring.
Ahn Yoon Sik: Jung Suk ssi. I am having a stomach upset and it is inconvenient to talk
After the settling with the bank, Jang Dong Hwa invited Ajumma out for lunch, but Ajumma declined that she need to go back to the house to cook lunch for Song Jae Bin. Song Jae Bin felt strange that Song Jae Bin was not following his schedule. She told him that he was at home practising his lines. After doing it, she will go and see Ji Min.
The bank manager came out to give them a pair of tickets as a complimentary gift for their bank 38th Anniversary. The bank manager added a comment it is good treat for dates. Jang Dong Hwa pushed the tickets to Ajumma to ask her to watch it with her friends. Ajumma refused that Jang Dong Hwa should take it. Jang dong Hwa said that this gift was from her opening of the account then Jang Dong Hwa suggested that they should go and watch it together. Ajumma was taken by surprise. Jang Dong Hwa asked if she has a problem with it. Ajumma agreed that they should go together.
Song Jae Bin got a report on this. Ajumma rusheed home to fix lunch for Song Jae Bin. Song Jae Bin strolled down the stairs and mimiced his brother with his gesture and voice. He said, there was not much time to eat and he was sorry that he had to rush home. Ajumma asked him why the strange tone of voice. Song Jae Bin continued there will be a guest coming, hasty cleaning will make it looked more dirty. Now, just clean the downstairs. The first and secnd floor she could leave them until tomorrow. Ajumma was overjoyed to hear this from him. Song Jae Bin was still in his performance asked Ajumma to eat her meals on time and left. Ajumma wondered if he had been drinking during the day
Ajumma rushed to the gym room to give it a quick spruce cleaning when she spotted the box of cake on the table that was left since yesterday. She opened it and to find the cake had a wink face draw on it. She smiled and wanted called Song Jae Bin on the walkie-talkie but got no response
Meanwhile, Jang dong Hwa was concerned that Song Jae Bin was not sticking to his schedule and wanted the Assistant to follow more closely to it. Jang Dong Hwa caledl his ex-wife, Lee Na Yun. From her tone of her voice, he asked whether she was drinking. She replied she was. He asked her to meet him, but she said she was busy. She went on to dress something quite decently.
Meanwhile, Song Jae Bin was still in his brother’s mode waited outside for Ajumma. Ajumma told him off for making a joke at her expenses by pretending to be his brother, He asked her not to tell Ji Min about her divorce as it may upset Ji Min. She realised he was also wearing Jang Dong Hwa’s clothes. She told him that his play-act was not up to par.
Then he changed to his own self and forced Ajumma that he will take her to Ji Min’s school. She asked him not to interfere with her family’s affairs and he was getting to be a nuisance. He told he will no longer be concerned about her affairs, in which she replied she was begging for him not to be.
Song Jae Bin was upset by that remark made and asked her to get going. Ji Min came back to the house and Ajumma told her that it has been a while since they have gone out for a “date” and invited her. Ji Min felt weird at the suggestion. She had something to say, but Ji Min said she was tired but Ajumma dragged Ji Min saying she will treat her to a meal. Ji Min mentioned that Lee Na Yun dropped by the school and invited Jang Dong Hwa’s son for a meal. Ajumma wondered.
It was Spring and the trees begin to blossom. Ajumma was trying to say nice things while her daughter show no slight interest in their “date”. Jang Dong Hwa called to ask whether she was with Ji Min now and Ajumma told him that Lee Na Yun had taken his son for a meal, and whether Lee Na Yun had inform him. Jang Dong Hwa said she wasn’t picking up her phone. Jang Dong Hwa asked based from her tone she have yet to tell the news to Ji Min. She said yes, and she may think it is best not to tell her. He said it was for the best especially if involved children. Ajumma agreed that she shouldn’t reveal it. Jang Domg Hwa assured her that all will be fine in the end. He then SMS that
he will be waiting to pick them up from the bus stop, only to be interupted by his staff. I am not sure whether he sent it in the end.
Song Jae Bin was trying to do his lines, but could not pull it off accurately. They took a break and he wondered how Ajumma doing but stop short. He then clear his mind by playing some mid 90s hit. I suppose it is to remind him which era he was from and tried to pass time with dance techniques to mere anything. He then came down to see his Assistant and driver having a meal and he went to look for instant ramen. They felt strange that he should eat instant ramen. He asked them to call Ajumma to find out where she kept the instant ramen. Assistant suggested to buy them from the shop, and Song Jae Bin asked why waste money if there is some in the house.
Assistant called to ask where she was and she said she was in Sillangdong queuing to have fried tokkpuggi and told them that the house was out of instant ramen. She told them that she will be late today.
Lee na Yun was having dinner with her son. She treated her son like a child and the boy told her he was no longer a child and that he can managed his food. She then asked whether he missed his mother. He told her when he was younger he does, now he favoured his father and respected him. Jang Dong Hwa came to the restaurant and overheard this was pleased. She asked how he knew she was here. jang dong Hwa made pleasant conversation with her and told that if she liked to have meals with his son and him, she should at least asked him first. Jang Dong Hwa had a share in his son’s food
Ajumma tried to tell Ji Min about her divorce, when suddenly Song Jae Bin made an appearance and started a public frenzy with the customers. Ji Min stood up to wave at Song Jae Bin to which he acknowledged. The Assistant and driver had to act as though they were the film crew following the Song Jae Bin and they wondered what he was doing here too. Song Jae Bin went to the music station room and told the crowds that this was a fan meeting session and they are doing a recording for the overseas fans. He took over the music station and became the disc jockey and started to dedicate songs to the crowd.
He went on telling that his first love like to eat fried tookpuggi. He doesn’t know why he is thinking of her. Ji Min got upset that ong Jae Bin could still think of his first love. Ajumma then asked for a request slip and wrote a note to be handed to Song Jae Bin, which read “Jang Dong Chil, because of you I haven’t say it to Ji Min. Please leave right now. If you don’t, you will die in my hands”
Song Jae Bin then annouced that this is the first request song from Hong Sun Ni. The song is “Don’t leave…Don’t leave Yeah” Ajumma was getting angry that Song Jae Bin was not taking any of her heed. “Don’t worry, I am not leaving. Let be responsible to bring you a memorable night. Definitely, I will not leave. Never”. Ji Min was
absolutely thrilled by Song Jae Bin’s appearance to the restaurant. “As the disc jockey for tonight, this is my small wish, hope that people can forgive each other their faults. I give you a pledge, that today tokpuggi is mine”. Everybody in the restaurant cheered. Everbody shouted forgive….forgive. Song Jae Bin then winked at Ajumma
On the way home, Song Jae Bin took Ajumma and Ji Min home and she asked him how was going to take responsiblility for tonight feasco. Ji Min was already fast asleep at the back of the car seat, still muttering “Forgive” Ajumma gave daggering stares in which Song Jae Bin tried to avoid her eye contact.
Back home. Ahn Yoon Sik was stalking the Jangs’ house and wondered whether they had gone to sleep. This was when Song Jae Bin’s car came up the driveway. As they came out of the car, Song Jae Bin asked whether he should carry Ji Min, but Ajumma wouldn’t allowed him.
Ahn Yoon Sik then queried her that during the day time it was Jang Dong Hwa. At night it was Song Jae Bin. What are the brothers doing taking their turns with Ajumma? Jang Dong Hwa was outside waiting and asked what had happened. Superstar told him briefly that they were together.
Back at ther quarters, Ajumma puts her sleepy daughteronto the sofa when all the sudden Ahn Yoon Sik appeared accusing Ajumma of cheating and tried to wake Ji Min up and fake his concern. The sleepy Ji Min was surprised to see her father. Ajumma then pushed Ji Min into her room. Then Ajumma ran out of the quarters, followed chase by Ahn Yoon Sik. By then Ji Min came out all woken up and wondered what was going on.
During the chase, Jang Dong Hwa saw what was happening. Song Jae Bin tried to walkie-talkie Ajumma but Ji Min replied that her mother was outside and that her father was here. Song Jae Bin went out to look for her. In between resting periods, Ajumma asked whether Ahn Yoon Sik was so thick-skinned to come here tonight. He then accused her that she was seen during the daytime with Jang Dong Hwa and during the night time she was with ong Jae Bin &=and she didn’t heed his advice to move out from their house.
Ajumma asked what right had he got to say such things as a father, husband or as the head of the family where he ran off to live with another woman, tricked her to seal and signed the divorce papers. Such double standard. Man can do it but for a Woman is a big No No.
She feel sorry for Ji Min to be able to say anything. Song Jae Bin came in and interupted them and surprised Ahn Yoon Sik. Song Jae Bin said that he cannot tolerate this any longer and wanted to punch him but was stopped by Ajumma. Instead Song Jae Bin got punched to the ground by Ahn Yoon Sik, in which Ajumma went to Song Jae Bin’s aid. Ahn Yoon Sik fled the scene, followed by Jang Dong Hwa in his car
On the road, Jang Dong Hwa cut him off and demanded Ahn Yoon Sik comes out from his car. Ajumma apologised to Song Jae Bin over the incident. “Jang Dong Chul’s first love had to be married to such a man like that. She had no foresight and he told her that he will help her to select the next man for her and asked her to go to bed.
Meanwhile, Ahn Yoon Sik came out from his car but tried to state his viewpoint. “Why do you need to act like this?. We are educated people. Who will interfere in another man’s family affair, also with a woman who already had a child. Both of you cannot be doing this….” Before he could finished, he got punched by Jang Dong Hwa
Jang Dong Hwa punched Ahn Yoon Sik and he complained that yet again he was beaten up and now was bleeding as well. Ahn Yoon Sik took of his jacket that he no longer tolerate this insult any longer. What Jang Dong Hwa had done he will not make him leave it alone. Ahn Yoon sik threatened to call on the reporters to have Song Jae Bin and Jang Dong Hwa embarrassed in front of the press. Jang grabbed him and told him that Ahn Yoon Sik was the one at fault, if he ever brought any harm to Song Jae Bin, Jang Dong Hwa warned that it will be the death of Ahn Yoon Sik. Ahn was frightened to see such an angry Jang Dong Hwa when he said these words. Ahn Yoon Sik then plucked up some courage saying that he is not afraid of Jang Dong Hwa who was now manhandling him. He accused Jang Dong Hwa of assault. Jang Dong Hwa dared Ahn Yoon Sik to file an assault charge and asked him to bring the charges to his office with Go Jung Suk. Jang Dong Hwa then released his grasp and returned back to his car.
Ahn Yoon Sik began to worry that Jang Dong Hwa might mentioned Go Jung Suk and asked to settle this between themselves (man to man) than getting Go Jung Suk involved. Jang Dong Hwa drove off. Ahn Yoon Sik was more worried if Go Jung Suk ever found out, he will be done for.
At Ajumma’s quarters, Ajumma was trying to digest what has happened tonight, just when Song Jae Bin walkie-talkied her
Song Jae Bin: Ajumma….Ajumma. I’m in pain. Where is the first aid kit?
Ajumma didn’t response but took the kit to his room. Then Song Jae Bin grabbed hold of her from behind. Ajumma tried to free herself but Song Jae Bin tighten his grip further. Jang Dong Hwa came home with a sore hand from his night episode with Ahn Yoon Sik went to Song Jae Bin’s to check on him and found them together.
