Before I started my post, I am going to refer to a few more characters names

Go Jung Suk (The Lady Boss) - Kim Cheong
Episode 5 started out that Ajumma was not able to see her husband as Song Jae Bin send her down on the lift. Jang Dong Hwa (Jae Bin’s brother) did a background check on Ajumma when he found their familiarity between Jae Bin and Ajumma disturbing. Jang Dong Hwa also found out who her husband was to his disbelief. Ajumma’s husband, Ahn Yoon Sik has to think of something quickly when he realised who Ajumma was working for and had to find a way to covert her to sign the divorce papers so he is free to marry the Lady Boss, Go Jung Suk.
It is interesting that Go Jung Suk’s requirement of Ahn Yoon Sik was not for stud duties but some grand illusion of romance. I guess some women have the extra money to create fantasies into reality. It was quite funny to see the few times Ahn Yoon Sik trying to ‘jump’ onto Go Jung Suk.
He made some sob story of not wanting Ajumma from being harrassed by his debtors so they are to ‘fake’ their divorce in order for Ajumma to be free from liability. He even recreated a fake car chase to authenticate his story. I have seen this done before and it is always because of another woman.
Song Jae Bin also found out who Ajumma’s husband was and it was so cute when Song Jae Bin asked what kind of punishment will she inflict on someone she does like. She replied a slap on the back of the head. Jae Bin seeked Ahn Yoon Sik and slapped him on the head several times telling him that because he upsetted Ajumma so much that her cooking is affected hence now his mood is affected.
When the two brothers found out the despicable thing Ahn Yoon Sik to get Ajumma to sign the divorce papers, each of them in his on way went about telling Ahn Yoon Sik off much to Ahn Yoon Sik’s confusion why the two brothers were on his case.
After that, I was waiting when Ajumma will find out the truth for herself. She finally did via an engagement invitation she found on Jang Dong Hwa’s table and she was strike by the coincidence of the same on the card with her husband’s. Then it striked her that her husband’s actions became somewhat suspicious and she went to the hotel where the engagement was held. Song Jae Min was there for a press conference and saw Ajumma passing by and realised what the Ajumma had found out. He ran after her and grabbed her to save her from the painof finding out. Because of the media followed Song Jae Bin so closely, the media caught the compromising position of Song Jae Min holding onto Ajumma. Song Jae Bin hid Ajumma from the glare of the press but not before she heard Ahn Yoon Sik’s voice. When Jang Dong Hwa saw who Song Jae Bin was holding and realised the same thing, he took off his jacket and the two brother lead Ajumma away. It was lovely to see how the two Jang brothers lending their support.
Jae Bin need not to say that Ajumma was his first love. It seems that they was to meet up that many years ago except she never turned up. Ajumma refused to indulge exactly what happen to her that day but I am guessing that her father died on that day whirling her world into poverty.
Ajumma knowing the truth was still in denial that Ahn Yoon Sik would give up 15 years of marriage and their daughter for another woman and that the years they had meant nothing to him. Selfish bastard!
To established another scenario, Lee Na Yun was indeed Jang Dong Hwa’s ex-wife and the mother of his son. She was trying to rekindle her son’s affection for her but to her dismay the boy preferred Ajumma. She is trying to hook herself onto Song Jae Min to be his love interest to promote herself in the industry but Song Jae Min told her that he will never get involved with his brother’s woman, past or present.
Ajumma asked Jang Dong Hwa out for a drink, and they ended being very comfortable with each other. While they were walking she saw a pair of shoes which she liked. Song Jae Bin was outside the house worried sick about Ajumma, see them coming back together. After sending Jang Dong Hwa off to the house, she walked into the garden to get some fresh air, Song Jae Bin followed closely behind.
She then decided to call her ex-husband but she couldn’t get through. A few moments there was a returned call. Ahn Yoon Sik called back to ask what she wanted. Ajumma told she had some drinks and was slightly drunk. She wouldn’t be able to say what she wanted if she wasn’t and asked him not to hang up but listen to what she wanted to say. Ahn Yoon Sik wasn’t interested and hung up. Ajumma continued on despite the cut line saying what she wanted to say. She asked ‘Why did he have treat her this way? They had lived together for 15 years and yet now if feels like they weren’t for the years. He doesn’t asked her whether she was tired? He never said he misses Ji Min? When they see each other, it always the same excuse that he is very busy and runs off. She also she knows the truth but yet she pretends like a fool not to know anything about it. But this is just as well now that he can never ever return back to her side. Ajumma was crying and Song Jae Bin was there to witness it all.
Meanwhile Jang Dong Hwa went to the bathroom to wash up and saw a pair of Ajumma’s
household shoes. He then took a measurement of with his length of his arm
Song Jae Bin went to wine club to confront Ahn Yoon Sik. Ahn Yoon Sik was surprised and suspicious to see the Song Jae Bin, who said he had something to discuss with him that will take a moment of his time. Ahn Yoon Sik was rather nevous as he doesn’t know what Song Jae Bin wanted as the last recent encounters Song Jae Bin was there to bash him up.
Song Jae Bin: Mr Ahn?
Ahn Yoon Sik: Yes (nervously)
Song Jae Bin: Mr Ahn. What do you most like to hold on to?
Ahn Yoon Sik: My ego?
Song Jae Bin: Beside that, there must be something else more important
Ahn Yoon Sik was in limbo to Song Jae Bin was trying to imply but must have thought they are playing 20 questions
Ahn Yoon Sik: The earth?
Song Jae Bin: Narrow it down
Ahn Yoon Sik: Ah! Our country?
Song Jae Bin: Quickly. Narrow it down some more
Ahn Yoon Sik: It would be….?
Song Jae Bin: Say it
Ahn Yoon Sik: Could it be family?
Song Jae Bin: Bingo! (snapping his fingers). This is your prize. Take it.
Song Jae Bin handed him an envelope of money.
Ahn Yoon Sik: Why are you giving me this?
Song Jae Bin: A woman after 5 to 6 months of abstinence will thaw. Ajumma, going to freeze to death. Find an opportunity to have this settled. As a man who you need to hold onto, go ahead to hold on. OK?
Song Jae Bin patted him
Song Jae Bin: Are you…going to go and hold on?
Ahn Yoon Sik was lost for words
Song Jae Bin: I will be watching you.
The Lady Boss, Go Jung Suk was suspicious of the meeting between Ahn Yoon Sik and Song Jae Bin
Upon returning home, Song Jae Bin met Ajumma. Ajumma was shocked to see him. Superstar questioned her whether she did some wrong that she was guilty enough to be frighten. Ajumma told Superstar she had some appointment in the city. Song Jae Bin permitted her and asked to return home soon. He asked her why is she dressed like that. Song Jae Bin commented she should look herself at the mirror. Song Jae Bin said he was also going into the city, and he will buy something for her to change. He told her that is the reason why her husband run away in first place.
Song Jae Bin had Ajumma all dressed up for her appointment. Meanwhile Ahn Yoon Sik went to the rendevous point, followed by Go Jung Suk who was tailing him. Although Song Jae Bin knew very well what is going to happen after all he was the producer and director for the scene. He asked her who exactly will she be going to meet in such a location. I believe it is at the bank of the Han Gang. Ajumma said that it is just a meeting place. Song Jae Bin said he was just teasing and said such place was frequent by people on dates. He had many dates here. Ajumma then asked with the likes of him, he never did date. Ajumma thanked him for dropping her off. Song Jae Bin called to her earnestly then winked at her.
Meantime, Jang Dong Hwa went to the shoe shop to buy the pair of shoes that Ajumma liked. The salesgirl asked for the size, and Jang Dong Hwa used his arm length to let the girl know the measurement. He asked for it to be packed
At the riverbank, Ahn Yoon Sik tried to pay Ajumma off by giving the envelope of money for her to pay the rent for some accomodations. He asked her without delay to move out of Song Jae Bin’s house as soon as possible. She asked where he got the money from. Ahn Yoon Sik told her to do as he say. Ajumma refused. While they tussled, Go Jung Suk came upon them.
Go Jung Suk: What is going on?
Ahn Yoon Sik was shocked to see the appearance of his fiancee.Go Jung Suk finally realised that Ajumma was Ahn Yoon Sik’s ex-wife.
Go Jung Suk: This is your ex-wife….she is that household Ajumma?
Ahn Yoon Sik: Ah….yes
Go Jung Suk saw the familiar envelope of money
Ahn Yoon Sik: She wanted alimony.
Ajumma was shocked that her Ahn Yoon Sik made that remark
Go Jung Suk: So this is why you borrowed money from Song Jae Bin?
Ajumma: Song Jae Bin?
Ajumma was surprise that the money was from Song Jae Bin
Ahn Yoon Sik: Yes, of course. Who else do I know? I thought about your feelings so I didn’t let you know, so I just spoke to him man to man to borrow the money to settle this. Now it is completed. Let’s go, Jung Suk ssi
Ajumma tried to hold Ahn Yoon Sik back
Ajumma: Ji Min Appa
Ahn Yoon Sik: What more, haven’t I given you more than enough? We have already sealed and signed. It has already ended. Why are you so persistent? Using the child as an excuse will not work. Didn’t you say that you want custody of Ji Min.
Go Jung Suk: We are already engaged. If you want money don’t come to look for this man, come to look for me instead. You had come to our wine club once before?
Ahn Yoon Sik: This kind of meeting is not appropriate
On hearing this, Ajumma laughed in devastation to hear Ahn Yoon Sik could said such things to her
Ahn Yoon Sik: The money…I have given the money to you. Don’t cause any more troubles. No more contact. Let’s go Jung Suk ssi
Ajumma was left behind to deal with her sorrows. Song Jae Bin was still waiting for her in the car, sighing when he saw Ahn Yoon Sik and Go Jung Suk driving off. Suspecting something might happened to Ajumma, he went to her aid, to see a crying Ajumma. Ajumma just could only cried heart felt sadness in Song Jae Bin’s arms. Song Jae Bin hugged her closely. Then Song Jae Min made a decision
Song Jae Bin: Hong Sun Ni. Now listen very carefully. From this moment, you and I are not friends
Nightfall. Ajumma was in Song Jae Bin’s car, shutting her eyes from fatigue due to all the crying. He looked at her closing her eyes and commented that her eyes are swollen like goldfish. Song Jae Bin advised her not to cry anymore and to rest until her swollen eyes subsided
Ajumma asked Song Jae Bin when did he know that the person was her husband, Song Jae Bin replied whether that was important. Ajumma knew that he knew all along, that was why Song Jae Bin always addressed Ahn Yoon Sik as the horrid man and Ajumma as the fool. It was because she still had lingering feeling for what obviously that has ended that is why Song Jae Bin those words. She felt sorry for Ji Min. Superstar asked if Ajumma still wanted to carry on being cheated by her Ahn Yoon Sik. Ajumma returned the envelope of money to him.
At home, Song Jae Bin was delighted at the result and really warmed up towards Ajumma, as her troubles are over. Song Jae Bin tried to cheer Ajumma up and managed to make her smile. Song Jae Bin told her to smile more from now onwards. Jang Dong Hwa was waiting outside for them.
Song Jae Bin then revealed that Ajumma was his classmate and assured that she will not reveal his secret (his actual age), he also wanted to say that Ajumma was his first love but Ajumma made eyes signal not to say anything. Then Song Jae Bin returned with an eye signal to her which is a wink. Jang Dong Hwa has no qualms about the whole thing. Ajumma said to herself the Song Jae Bin was jeopardising her position at the household with these comments
Ajumma and Song Jae Bin had a heart to heart talk and he assured her in the conversation over the talkies. Superstar wanted to meet Ajumma to finish off the conversation of what he wanted to say at the Han Gang earlier, but Ajumma was too tired to come out to meet him. Ajumma recalling this afternoon’s event and went into Ji Min’s room to sleep with her, and told the sleeping Ji Min, there is nothing to worry.
Next morning, Ajumma prepared fresh orange juice and sent it up to Song Jae Bin’s bedroom to a seemingly sleeping Song Jae Bin, however Song Jae Bin held her hand when she was about to leave and asked whether she slept well, pull her down and told her that he had something to say. He had written something on the wall at the gym and while she is cleaning it, to have a read. Just at this moment Jang Dong Hwa walked in to see them. He told Song Jae Bin of his schedule.
Jang Dong Hwa asked Ajumma to come with him. He wanted to give her the pair of shoes that Ajumma liked but Song Jae Bin interupted them and asked what his brother wanted with Ajumma. Jang Dong Hwa changed the subject by telling her that his son had some school activities that she should prepared for it. Song Jae Bin asked that Ajumma should fix breakfast, which surprised her because he doesn’t have breakfast due to the fact that he need to watch his weight.
Song Jae Bin asked whether his brother (Jang Dong Hwa) was acting a bit strange. He wanted to say something but stopped erruptly when he came in. Ajumma jumped the the conclusion that Jang Dong Hwa now know that they were classmates, he will want to fire her. Song Jae Bin said it is not that and not to worry about her job. Song Jae Bin told her “You must trust this Oppa. Now we are no longer friends”. Ajumma hits Song Jae Bin’s forehead for talking nonsense. Then they went back to their old bickering mode. While cooking breakfast, Song Jae Bin and Ajumma looked so comfortable while Jang Dong Hwa witnessed this scene from the stairs.
Song Jae Bin tried to ward off the loving gestures from Lee Na Yun. Ajumma plucked up the courage and went to wine bar which coincidently was at the location of the press conference was held and she was spotted by Jang Dong Hwa. Ajumma went to see her Ahn Yoon Sik. He was shocked to see her. Ajumma wanted to hear the truth from him.
Ahn Yoon Sik: What do you want to say? If you are here to make me change my mind, then you are wasting your efforts. Leave. For lying to you, I am sorry. If I don’t do it this way, you will never be willing to grant the divorce. We are already engaged (Go Jung Suk). Things cannot return to what it was before.
Ajumma: Why did you do it?
Ahn Yoon Sik: Are you asking because you really do not know? A 40 years old man working his butt off and nothing to depend on. I have no choice. To think of it I, Ahn Yoon Sik’s life wouldn’t end up being this way. Come to think of it, what have you given me? When I asked you to bail me, where were you? At that time, Jung Suk ssi was the one who bailed me, Even the wife in the house left me on the lurch, that woman save me. What was I to do? Of course I needed to give myself up for her. I can now play golf, drive a foreign car. Later this wine club will be Ahn Yoon Sik’s. If you can do this, I will returned to your side.
Ajumma: Have you given a thought about Ji Min?

Ajumma: But don’t ever let Ji Min know that she has such a despicable father. It is my fault that I had chose you, that it had come to this. Ji Min didn’t choose to be born to her parents. Living with you for the past 15 years. It has become really a pity. I am off
Ahn Yoon Sik: Ji Min Omma! Ji Min Omma!
Ajumma left the wine club in a hurry. Jang Dong Hwa followed a sobbing Ajumma. Ajumma turned round to look at the river, venting out her frustration. While crying, she choke on her tears and Jang dong Hwa helped her by patting her back to ease the choking. Ajumma was surprise to see him. Jang Dong Hwa praised her for doing it well. He asked a car to pick her up with some food and drinks. He gave his handkerchief for her to wipe her tears. She wiped her tear then blow her nose into it.
Song Jae Bin and Lee Na Yun was waiting for Jang Dong Hwa at a chinese restaurant. Song Jae Bin was not really fond of her. Lee Na Yun probed to see if Song Jae Bin had a girlfriend, which he mentioned he does have a woman in passing.
Song Jae Bin: There is a woman, often I go out with
Lee Na Yun: Who is this woman?
Song Jae Bin: No. Actually day and night
Lee Na Yun: Who is she, it is strange?
Song Jae Bin: You will get to meet her one day
Song Jae Bin dialled his mobile to call Ajumma
Ajumma: What is it?
Song Jae Bin: What is it? Why didn’t you answer your phone? Where are you?
Ajumma: At home
Song Jae Bin: Home? What are doing now?
Ajumma: Preparing Sang Jang Nim a meal
Song Jae Bin: Hyung! He is at home. Passed the phone to him
Ajumma: He is in the bathroom
Song Jae Bin said that Jang Dong Hwa was supposed to be at the restaurant with them. When asked by Ajumma if Jang Dong Hwa whether he had prior appointment, he denied that he had any. They had the meal together and Jang Dong Hwa wanted to give her some time off for her to settle her emotions. She said she think it over.
Suddenly the silence and the clock ticking becames apparently loud as they are getting to feel uneasy together
In the evening, Song Jae Bin came back to a pondering Ajumma. He asked if she had been crying and asked her to go to bed. Song Jae Bin asked Ajumma what she was doing tomorrow. She told him that Jang Dong Hwa have given her a day off. She wanted to go out for some air. Song Jae Bin invited her to go somewhere with him tomorrow
Song Jae Bin took her to a clinic to have lasix eye surgery her eyes. She wanted to go to sauna with her friends after this. Song Jae Bin said it was not possible. The nurse called for Ajumma and Song Jae Bin revealed that she was the one going for lasix eye surgery. She doesn’t want to, so Song Jae Bin took her glass and broke it in front of her and dragged her into the operating theatre. Song Jae Bin was worried when the surgery was taking a long time. The nurse commented that Song Jae Bin was so kind to be so concerned about his household ajumma. Ajumma came out with eye protectors for her eyes and had to have her eyes close, like a blind person. She asked how long she need to wear these eye protectors. She can take it off a day after. Song Jae Bin told her at this time, she cannot cried or it will have grave consequences.
Ajumma had to be lead by Song Jae Bin, who seem to enjoy being “molest” by her. Ajumma was afraid, and asked if Song Jae Bin can delayed his schedule for the day. Song Jae Bin cooked for Ajumma and fed her. She made a remark it is the first time someone made her a meal to eat. He asked why she hasn’t done many things in her life. He asked her to tell him what she wanted to do. She started to sob, and Song Jae Bin asked her stop by giving her rubs
Jang Dong Hwa came home to see a dirty kitchen and wonder how was Ajumma feeling, took to her the pair of shoes he bought to her. Meanwhile Song Jae Bin who was keeping Ajumma company in her quarters, Song Jae Bin asked her if she had read the writings at the gym. She have not and asked him instead what it said. Song Jae Bin asked her to read with her own eyes.
Te door knocked. It was Jang Dong Hwa. Song Jae Bin and Ajumma went on a panic mode. Song Jae Bin went to hide in the bathroom. Jang Dong Hwa was surprised to see Ajumma with the eye protectors. She told him that she just went for a lasix eye surgery. He asked why the TV was on, she replied it was for the sound. Jang Dong Hwa said that it was good that she doesn’t have to wear glasses anymore and that she looked good without them. Jang Dong Hwa assisted her to her room. Song Jae Bin wondered why his brother dropped by. Jang dong Hwa just left the pair of shoes for her.
When the coast was cleared, Song Jae Bin saw the pair of shoes his brother left behind. A call from Lee Na Yun why he delayed his schedule and asked whether he was at home. Song Jae Bin continued to sit with Ajumma, who by now was almost dozing off and resting her head on his shoulders which made him feel very warm indeed.
Jang Dong Hwa and Lee Na Yun were wondering where Song Jae Bin went today. Lee Na Yun went to Ajumma’s quarters to find the both of them had dozed off together. She got upset. She recalled how warm up Song Jae Bin was with Ajumma
Lee Na Yun was drowning down wine at the wine club overheared Go Jung Suk and Ahn Yoon Sik talking how strange that the both brothers were always protecting her. Lee Na Yun realised he was Ajumma’s ex-husband . They were surprised that their conversation was eavesdropped by Lee Na Yun and she asked if she could joined in their conversation. She asked Ahn Yoon Sik to tell her all about his ex-wife
Song Jae Bin got a call from the wine club to say Lee Na Yun was drunk at their place and told him that he had told her regarding his ex-wife. Song Jae Bin dropped by Ajumma’s quarters to see Ajumma was sleeping at the sofa and gently stroked her hair. He helped her to remove her eye protectors and she was startled. He asked her whether she can see him. She said she could see him clearly now and then commented why does he have so many wrinkles. She was amazed by her new regained sight.
Then he went on to mention that when a chick was hatched, once it could open its eyes, the first thing he see it will think that is its mother and will followed her for the rest of its life
I suppose he would like to be the first person for her to see clearly. Somewhat like the first person that she sees, he would be the one she falls in love. He reminds her whose team she now belonged to. He asked her to see the writings on the gym wall with her new regained sight.
He went out to settle the drunk Lee Na Yun. At the wine club, Song Jae Bin thanked Ahn Yoon Sik for divorcing Ajumma. He asked if Song Jae Bin have some intentions to make Ajumma his woman with all the things he had done. Song Jae Bin just brushed the question off
The drunk Lee Na Yun asked Song Jae Bin in order to see him, she needed to use Ajumma’s name for him to come. She said she went to the house and saw them and asked if his brother knew about their relationship. She asked him ‘What did Ajumma had that she doesn’t. She is thicked skin and stupid. I can’t believe, does it make sense’. Song Jae Bin asked what she was trying to say was the thing that didn’t make sense. Song Jae Bin sent her back to her suite hotel. She tried to hold him back, but he left her.
Ajumma went to look for the writing at the gym. She found it. “Compare to the 19 years old Hong Sun Ni, I like the 39 years old Hong Sun Ni better”
Jang Dong Hwa got a call from Lee Na Yun demanding to give Song Jae Bin to her. She told him that Song Jae Bin and Ajumma was dozing off together in the sofa. She asked him to fire her or get her to resign. Jang Dong Hwa said he will not hurt another woman for her and hung up.
Ajumma was playing with the “can’t blow off candles”, those candles were the same that Song Jae Bin had on the cake to celebrate her divorce.
Later that the night, Jang Dong Hwa came down to switch the lights off. He saw the kitchen was tidy and the apron folded. He then realised that the gym lights were on. He went down and saw that Ajumma was sleeping on the sofa, went to her and stroked her hair. Suddenly, Song Jae Bin walked in
Song Jae Bin: What are you doing?
He came down from the stairs quickly as he was upset at what he saw. As Jang Dong Hwa was about to take leave, Song Jae Bin asked him the question again
Song Jae Bin: I asked you what are you doing
Jang Dong Hwa: Why? Can’t I like this woman too?
Song Jae Bin: What?
Jang Dong Hwa: As I have said it. Because I can, you definitely, cannot.
Both brothers stared at each other
