Seo: It looks like we are late. PD Yun just asked me to come quickly. I will order a taxi as I want to drink tonight.
(In Korea you can order a service chauffeur or driver for a fee to take you & your car home after a heavy drinking session. Koreans have very intensive drinking habit. I wouldn’t want to compete with the Korean on the alcohol tolerance)

(This is the most fun of the climax to a shoot. Eat Drink & be merry is the theme for it. I have a few of these in my own career. I can’t say very much about the morning after though)
PD Yun: Everybody, attention please. The last few days ago, there is someone who sent us a letter on our drama. I bought it over to read it out to you to listen. Our Eun Young should be most suitable person to read it
Oh reads the letter. The sender is a female fan
“Production team, how are you? I’m “Ticket to the Moon” one of your audiences. I also have an older sister who like Eun Young is with mental disabilities (I think it politically correct to say mentally challenge) . She likes chocolates, once I get some money, I will buy her chocolates for my older sister. I always call her an idiot. I’m afraid just then moment never ever shown love to my older sister. My older sister will hold on & resisit not to eat the chocolates & will wait for me to come home to share it with me. It is because I’m her younger sister. I’m ashamed of myself after watching your drama that my older sister who have live till now for 30 years, it is the 1st time she will be able to have a younger sister. This is my 1st time I discover that my older sister has such a radiant smile. It is so sweet. It has allowed me to really appreciate wholeheartedly to love my older sister. For the people who was involve in bring this great drama, I wish that everyone of you will be like Eun Young to be forever in happiness”

Seo: this afternoon, Jang came to look for me. It looks like it was for a farewell. If I knew of it earlier, I will have not sent him off like this.

The next morning, Oh wakes up & goes to the living room to find script laces with pink ribbons on the table. Oh read through one of them & vent her frustration by throwing them all on the floor. She then goes to the fridge to get some water & finds the Udon Noodle Recipe pin on the fridge door. Oh find little of Jang’s signatures in her house. Oh goes to the lakeside & hums the tune that Jang’s sang & slowly fades in to Jang the song that he was actually serenading to her previously.
Oh goes to meet Seo
Oh: Where has he gone to? Do you really don’t know where he is, both of you were close?
Seo: When his company went bankrupt, he never once gave me a call. I always could have helped him push 1 or 2 newcomers. The Jang Gi Joo we know has been always bee that way. Don’t know which corner of the world is he in; he may be conscientiously going on living?
Oh: What is it then? What is he doing so conscientiously?
Seo: The journey that will lead him back to be with Oh Seung Ah’s side, he is now finding it. Just wait & see.

On Air have given an insight to the behind the scenes of the production of drama & the crew that are involves. It also depicted the dark side to the entertainment industry. As to all artistes who are idolized is a very fragile existence. You have seen that the industry have been covered with suicides, sex scandal tapes, the poison pen of fans who hate you.
May I remind you that the artiste themselves are just human being who have the same set of emotions that we have. Of course with fame it carries a price, privacy is totally obsolete, and there is no chance of being just an average normal person. Whatever you do is being microscopic dissect? The last kdrama that I watched is Coffee Prince and now I’m concentrating on Jdorama only. I’ve stopped watching kdrama for 6 months,to avoid the annoying kdrama cliches.
Previously, i always have this perception that most SBS’s dramas only suit for ahjumma. Glad they brings something fresh like On Air. What I like most about On Air is each of four main lead characters has many layers that we slowly see peeled off as the drama progresses. Kudos to to the actors for their ability of portraying the characters really well.
Thanks to On Air, now I can’t wait for SBS’s highly anticipated new drama , Iljimae. Following to On Air, other drama like Spotlight and The World They Live In will be produce with similar content. But I know that the feel won’t be the same as watching On Air =)

i’m glad that everyone has a happy ending but this was the most anti-climatic ending of a k-drama, me thinks… *hehe*

Thank goodness it’s over! I was eagerly looking forward to watching On Air solely for Mr. Lee. Well, as it turns out, the only reason I stick till the end was because of him. This drama doesn’t click with me even though it has a high profile casts, and cameo appearances of famous celebs. The pace was just right, there were no hiccups, and the performances were terrific. I don’t hate it, it’s not a bad drama, it just doesn’t click.
SA & KJ shippers, were you a bit disappointed with their ending? It doesn’t leave us hanging or guessing whether they are together, nothing of that sort. However, it was pale in comparison to the KM&YE couple. I wish there were at least 1 or 2 more sequences of them together.
The writer penned their relationship more on ‘feelings’ rather than ‘actions’. Most of the time they conveyed what they really want to say via intense staring. I felt there was something lacking from the finale between them, after all, they have been in love for seven years! Must say I enjoyed their flashbacks scenes more than their present’s.
KJ was a jerk to leave her waiting for two years. Only to come back and ‘propose’ to her in the least romantic ways. I still heart Dr. Ahn more, even though he was a (adorable) jerk to Dal Hee, he doesn’t hide his feelings and go for it.

I wish at least they could have given us a close up of the hug. But maybe that’s what make On Air so different and refreshing.

Apart from the disappointing ending this drama is very entertaining, refreshing and addicting to watch. Haven’t seen an interesting drama like this one in a long time.

Hi Jackie, thank u so much for this summary. I’ve watch episode 17 to 21 without Eng many times and became mad without understanding what KM and Seo said, until I discovered ur summary. I am just interested in KM/Seo couple and love them so much. I also watched Utube and see Park Yong Ha talked a lot a bout this drama. Especially there was a show Chocolate when PYH and YE talked about the drama (they also showed a map of words)…If you watch aready, pls brief me what PYH said…I love him so much. He looked like a boy in Winter Sonata, now he is much better looking and also acts excellent… Also if u have any more information behind the scen of this drama, let us know… I cant watch any other Korean Drama after this, just watch it again and again… Again, tks u so much, Jackie.
