The patient came in with long term use tracheotomy tube where he uses it to breath, as the patient have been to the hospital several times to have his tracheotomy dressing & remove to change tubes, obviously from the bronchial breathing abnormality over the trachea it is assume there are complication of tracheal stenosis and erosion are minimised by securing the tracheal tube in midline position & have to will remain infection free in the tracheotomy site. Jun Ha Yun diagnose that the tracheotomy tube needs to change when she hear stridor on her stethoscope (lung sounds or auscultation of airway hear on the stethoscope), thinking it is airway edema due to the long term usage, but Song Hye Soo thinks that it is just false pretext of stridor & just need a guide wire & cannula to rectify & not drastic enough to have the tube chance. Song Hye Soo suggested that it is better to use tracheostomy inner cannula with a guide wire to take away the stridor which is suitable for long term user.
Song Hye Soo uses the method & the stridor goes away. If you read the summary for episode 11, Song Hye Joo eventually uses the cannula method instead to get rid of the stridor sound as changing tracheotomy tube on the patient will be distressing
